• Grotta gigante - large cave placed in Trieste limestone area 15 km from Trieste. Its central cave is 107 m high, 65 m wide and 160 m long. It was recorded in 1995 in Guinness Book of Records as the largest tourist cave in the world. There can be found amazing stalagmites and stalactites.

• Stazione marittima is a congress centre that accommodates many medical, scientific, economic, union, religious and sport conferences, cultural exhibitions, sport events, political meetings, seminars, courses and competitions.

• Muggia, lovely small place recognizable by the famous carnival

• Barcolana - traditional Trieste regatta first time held in 1968, that gathers over 2000 vessels.
